Getting help

.Ember is in active development. The fastest way to ask a question, suggest a feature, or report a bug is by email — [email protected]. I read every message myself; reply time is usually under 48 hours during the beta.

Reporting a bug

The more of the following you can include, the faster I can fix it:

1. macOS version (e.g., macOS 26.4 Tahoe). About this Mac → System Report.
2. .Ember build number. App Menu → About .Ember.
3. What you expected vs. what actually happened.
4. Steps to reproduce, even if rough.
5. A screenshot or short screen recording when the bug is visual.

If the bug is data-related (something missing from your vault, sync conflict, etc.), please don’t send the file contents. A description of which date / which entry, plus a screenshot, is enough — I will not ask for your vault.

Privacy when contacting support

Email me at [email protected] from any address that’s comfortable for you. I don’t store the contents of support email beyond the time it takes to reply, and I never share them with anyone. .Ember itself doesn’t collect telemetry, so when you write to me about a bug, your description is the only signal I have — please be as concrete as you can.
